Light

Jana was teaching us to work with capturing light effects, yesterday. This isn't quite what I was shooting for but I think I can "finish" it so it works for me. Thought I would post the original first, before I start adjusting it... I'll post the end results when I am finished (unless I really screw it up!).

I don't know what you see wrong with this, I Love It. It might not be what you were shooting for but,
Sometimes good enough just is........!

Wow! This is excellent - I agree, I don't know if you should do anything to it. I've tried to get streaking light and failed miserably. This is AWESOME!!

I agree with everyone's comments. Sometimes a painting just tells you what it wants or needs to be and even if it's not where you intended to go, it's still a good painting. Maybe if you have time, it would be interesting to see another, that goes more the way you wanted (and doing it without your team of cheerleaders standing behind you while you paint might be less nerve-wracking too!)

I agree with knowing when it is finished. It is and it is beautifully done (in my humble opinion).

I arrived here through Donna and it's funny how my favourite from her sketch book is the same as my favourite from yours : this execice painting on light. It's fabulous, it has such story and atmosphere, wow. Maybe it reminds me of what I try to find in photograhy.
Beautiful work in any case.
