Bad Hair Day
What happens when you don't paint for a while? You end up painting purple cows having bad hair days.
I actually, wanted to work with tones rather than just black, brown and grey so I started layering on washes. I like the way she can out however, I couldn't quite capture the look in her eyes. I may try doing a close up of her face later on. One of the things I find, when I settle in and paint a subject, is all the little details that I would normally miss like, cows too, have bad hair days!

It's me again, Looking over your progress thru out your blog, It's amazeing to see the difference between "Bad hair day" and "Cow and Calf"
This painting is just delightful bad hair day or not.
I must say that I love it. I feel that you find a Zen while you work, it really shows in what you do. While I am but a lowly traveling photographer, I can apreciate the creativity and eye for composition that goes into your work. As far as the eyes go I would love to see like a head and shoulders painting.
I will check back often :>)
Hi Tami. I agree with Donna's comment. I just went through your earlier work and can see a real progression! Your earlier work is lovely but there is a quality that is coming through now that seems to speak with perhaps your voice. The fact that you made this a purple cow says it all. I think this painting is lovely!
Thanks so much for writing me and leading me to your site.
