View off Mt Tam

This is painted from a photo I took. I am still practicing some techniques like "fog", distance perspective and blended land colors. Over all I am pleased with the final out come. The land masses in the distance were barely visible up through the fog.

Beautiful landscape. You've especially got the characteristics of the fir branches and needles and the variety of greens is excellent!

Doing fog is tough. But the beauty of land protruding up the through the fog is awesome. I need to tackle fog painting like you are doing.

This is brilliant! The composition, colors, value, everything! I love it! I love the way you simplified the water but still have that one wave slowly rolling in and the way the foggy light is reflecting off the water and the colors of the hills, the shape of the trees...I could go on and on. It's really masterfully done and I'd be so proud of it if I'd done it myself. One question: what are the dimensions?

This drawing/painting is particularly nice. As someone said in a previous post: "rich". I concur. I feel really high up when I look through it to the scene beyond.
