Let there be light!
I spent the day with chainsaw, pruning stick, loppers and pruners in hand, creating more light in the house. My trees had become so overgrown that it was making the living room perpetually twilight. So this morning I started early, sawing, hacking and chopping my way into more light. The roses were also getting pretty long necked stretching for the sunlight from under the neighbors renegade tree. Although I am sore and achy, it was a day well spent!

THAT CHORES!! GOOD JOB on illustrating all the days events!
You are a very industrious woman! And you still have time for painting ... good job!
I love these everyday sketches.
A day well spent, working and then sketching the work.
Thanks for all of your comments. I too like the day to day sketches. and as to being industrious, well, after weekends of not getting much accomplished around the house due to other priorities, it was about time. With DH's back problems, what used to be divided up between the two of us now can primarily only be done by me.
I am aching by now in the season too. I don't enjoy pruning, it takes me awhile to get into it & when it needs to be done, as you have evidenced, there is only way to do it--get in there & go for it. I have lots of pruning to do here too that I haven't yet tackled. You are amazing--you draw your way through the chore. Most impressive.
