Two Barns

My buildings are still a bit wonky but I was working plein aire. This is a small farm set back just a bit from the ocean. At some point I may do this again on larger paper and change my angle of view, from this direction you can't see the ocean but I like this side of the barns. The road curves around to the back sides of the barns (they don't sit as nicely) where you can see past them and the pasture out to the sea. It a beautiful view.

Swells on the ocean

I've been away for awhile and missed posting. I've continued to paint and hopefully have gotten a little better.

The were swell warnings off our N. CA coast this weekend so I thought I'd have a go at painting the moving water. Must say that I caught a little more movement in this than I have been able to in the past.
