EDM challenge #93 Egg Carton

I threw this egg carton in the fire the other day, as I watched it burn, I remembered the challenge to draw and egg carton. I knew this was how I wanted to do it so I grabbed the camera and took a picture.
This is a fairly close representation of how it looked and since I couldn't come up with anything better for today's painting, here it is.

Oh, wow - what an amazing sight. It certainly looks red hot. I just 'had' to do fire too, for one of my memory paintings. Nice to see you blogging again, though I'm sorry to hear of your friend. I visited her blog - she was doing some lovely work. I haven't been doing much art recently - I went to help my sister with her new baby for some weeks and then had lots else to catch up with.

I love this take on the challenge! I haven't done the egg carton yet because it seemed a bit boring. But you have made it a work of art!
Great job!

Love the way I can see the heat and fire start to come through the bottom of the egg sockets...is there another name for those? The fire is very well done with colors that leave no doubt that they represent blistering heat. Keep the fire going, I hear it's cold there.

I really like your 'take' on the challenge. I may have to run with the concept of it: any so-called mundane challenge-"burn it/soak it/bury it/throw it...change it with one of the four elements.
Cool...and thanks.
