Just playin' with color

The idea here was to just stay as loose. I wanted to do something colorful but I didn't want a lot of detail. This didn't come out quite like the picture that I had in my mind but I did manage to stay fairly loose. I painted and I had fun, that's the important part, right?

Absolutely! I played with color today too, started with an alizarin sky, then switched to orange, then wiped it all off (oil painting, of course) and tried lavender. Finally decided to just go with blue. But it was such fun playing. I admire your ability to make landscapes from your imagination. I don't think I could do that yet.

SO SO PRETTY, TAMI! I really love the textual effects you achieved -- so challening in watercolor -- that soft pinky white -- difficult, and yet so well done here!! BRAVA, cara!

Thank you All for the confidence boosters...the pink and whei was perserved great in the first two (front) trees because I apinted them first. The farther back, last two I added afterward because I didn't care for the composition with out them. Consequently, they and the road by the turned muddier than I would have liked. Jana, I wiped the first painting completely off too (LOL).
